Event Details

The Colorado Springs Disability Ministry Network will be hosting its initial Launch Dinner on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 6:00pm at Glen Eyrie.  This event is sponsored by Joni and Friends and Need Project, Inc.  The dinner and meeting will be free to all staff and volunteers who work with or are interested in working with a Christian disability ministry in the Pikes Peak region.

This will be a great time for networking and sharing ideas with other people who serve those affected by disability.  There will be a few guest speakers that will give brief presentations on their ministry, how it got started, pitfalls, successes, etc.

Space is limited, so please register early!

We are excited to have you join us!

Please save Saturday, October 16, 2010 from 9:00am until noon for our training program on disability ministry.  Topics will include volunteer recruitment, curriculum, and behavior management.

Joni and Friends

Joni and Friends is built on Biblical truth and the foundation of Jesus Christ. We are about advancing disability ministry and changing the church and communities around the world.

Joni and Friends is striving to demonstrate to people affected by disability, in tangible ways, that God has not abandoned them – He is with them – providing love, hope, and eternal salvation.

Joni and Friends has been dedicated to extending the love and message of Christ to people who are affected by disability whether it is the disabled person, a family member, or friend. Our objective is to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of this group of people in practical ways.
